Improvement Programme Board.
In February 2007, the Council adopted a new process for the management of its improvement agenda.
As the Council strives to deliver new or improved services, it has introduced a Programme Management Approach, so that complexities such as allocating resources, controlling risks, and dealing with the conflicts of priorities can be managed effectively in order for the maximum benefit to be achieved for customers.
The inaugural meeting of the Improvement Programme Board was held on 22 nd February 2007. One of the most important jobs facing the Programme Board is the review of the Council’s Corporate Strategy, including an examination of the Council’s vision and priorities.
It is vital that the Council delivers on its improvement work and the new approach will ensure that continuous improvement is paramount for officers and members alike, in order to better meet the needs of the residents and visitors of the borough. |
