The Environment Directorate is split into four sections. The Housing and Property Service is detailed separately and remaining services are detailed below.
Environmental Maintenance
Chris Budzynski is the Head of Environmental Maintenance, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the service and responsible for:
- Asset management
- Highways Agency
- Coast Protection
- Car Parks Maintenance
- Grounds Maintenance including Recreation Grounds
- Cemeteries
- Public Transport

Environmental Health and Enforcement
Ross Buchanan is the Principal Environmental Health Officer, responsible for the day to day management of the service and responsible for:
- Dog Control / Fouling
- Environmental Health
- Contaminated Land
- Pollution
- H & S Welfare
- Food Safety
- Markets
- Street Cleaning
- Public Conveniences
- Fly Tipping
- Waste Management

Transport and Environmental Regulation
Gary McBride is the Transport and Environmental Regulation Manager, responsible for the day to day managememnt of the function and responsiblr for:
- Car Parking including excess charges
- Transport leasing and procurement
