Commercial waste - special trade collections
Any waste generated by a commercial organistaion is the responsibility of the organisation to dispose of correctly. Advice on how to dispose of waste may be given by the council (including details of local organisations who offer waste collection services). The council may also provide a service which can arrange for special collections of large amounts of waste or bulky materials from commercial premises for a fee.
Certain items can be removed from commercial premises at the discretion of the Refuse Supervisor.
Commercial fridges and freezers will not be uplifted. These can be uplifted by commercial firms. Weymouth Recycling, Bournemouth which has a Newcastle upon Tyne office offers this service. Please contact 01202 57125.
Prices:
Minimum of £20.00 depending on items. Refuse Supervisor to price and confirm if items can be lifted.
Forms of Payment Accepted:
- Cash – payable at front counter in main reception area of Council
- OfficesCheque/postal order – payable to Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough
- CouncilDebit/Credit Card – details taken over phone by Cash Office
