The local authority provides an estates management service for land and property in the area.
Berwick-upon-Tweed Council over a number of years has developed a number of business accommodation units. These units are managed by the Borough Solicitor and Corporate Property Officer. In order to undertake this role, the officers undertake the following activities;
- Full lettings procedure (including the processing of applications, advertising vacancies and arranging viewings)
- Rental Collection
- Lease renewals
- Rent reviews (through independent valuers)
- Inspections
- Maintenance management
