To approve the Interim Housing Strategy

Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council are required to have in place a Housing Strategy which details the Council’s commitment to its strategic housing priorities in the short term
3.2
As an interim document, the Housing Strategy covers the following strategic objectives:
• Provision of demographic background information
• Identification of the range of housing needs to be met
• Identification of service requirements
• Identification of resources required
• Identification of short term strategic goals
• Setting an interim action plan
A more detailed and long term Housing Strategy will be produced in the next 12 months, which will be preceded by the Sub-Regional Housing Strategy, which will shortly come before members for their approval.
