Councillor J Waterhouse

The Chairman advised the Committee of the recent death of Councillor J Waterhouse’s son and sought the Committee’s agreement to send a letter of condolence to Councillor Waterhouse.

DECISION: To agree to send a letter of condolence to Councillor J Waterhouse concerning the recent death of her son.

Correspondence in the Berwick Advertiser

The Chairman drew the Committee’s attention to a letter recently published in the pages of the Berwick Advertiser which was critical of the Committee’s decision in respect of a food premises and which referred to the Chairman in particular.

The Chairman sought a vote of confidence in his position as Chairman bearing in mind the very important decisions which the Committee were likely to have to take in the coming year.

DECISION: To pass a unanimous vote of confidence in the Chairman.
