Summary

1.1

The policy describes the objectives regarding the provision of off-street car parking throughout the Borough and relates to the Service Plan.

The policy is regularly reviewed and reported to Members annually with updates

Recommendation

2.1

To agree the objectives and support the outcomes through the Service Plan process and the Improvement Board.

Report

3.1

This policy is intended to describe the objectives of Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council regarding the provision of the off-street parking throughout the Borough.

3.2

The policy is reviewed on a regular basis and an updated version is reported to Members annually.

3.3

The policy document details both objectives and strategies. There is a further detailed section on enforcement which prescribes procedures relating to actions in processing appeals received against the issue of Excess Charges.

3.4

The policy contains an assessment which highlights specific action areas and the support required to achieve successful outcomes.
