DECISION: To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the Licensing Committee held on 4 August 2004.

DECISION: To exclude under section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in part 1 of schedule 12A of the Act.

358. 4. APPLICATION FOR THE REVOCATION OF A DRIVER’S HACKNEY CARRIAGE DRIVER’S LICENCE 2
DECISION:
(i) Having heard oral evidence from the six witnesses called by the Senior Licensing Officer and from the Driver and his wife, determined not to suspend or revoke the Driver’s Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence.
(ii) To issue a ‘serious warning’ to the Driver as to his future behaviour in relation to matters under its control, as a licensing authority, and would intend to take this matter into consideration, for a period of 5 years, should any issue regarding any of the licences held by the Driver from this Council in relation to his taxi business come before the Council.
