2.1	To recommend the application of Mr David Buckle of Cornhill on Tweed to Council for appointment as the Parish Council Representative of Standards Committee.
3	Report
3.1	Following the recent request made of Parish Councils by the Northumberland Association of Local Councils on behalf of the Borough Council four candidates were interviewed on the 13th September 2007 by a Panel comprising the Chairman of the Committee together with David Francis of NALC and the Monitoring Officer. The names of the candidates interviewed were as follows:- Mr D Buckle of Cornhill on Tweed Mr E Brown of Lucker Mr R S S Edwards of Ancroft Mrs R Reed of Wooler The Panel, while impressed by the overall calibre of the candidates, chose unanimously to recommend the application of Mr David Buckle to this Committee.
