Questions by Members of the Public at Meetings

All Meetings are open to the public except during consideration of confidential business.

Members of the Public can ask questions about Council business at a meeting of Policy or Town Committee or at an Ordinary Meeting of Council.

Questions should:

  • Be submitted to the Chief Executive by email or in writing no later than midday 3 days before the day of the meeting.
  • Contain the name and address of the person asking the question.
  • Name the Member of the Council/Officer to whom the question should be put.
