Local Land Charges – Personal Search
A personal search is an inspection of the Local Land Charges Register. It can be carried out by anyone upon payment of the statutory fee, £11. Please note that a Personal Search does not provide all the information given on a full (LLC1 and CON29) search.
Anyone wishing to conduct a personal search may do so by making an appointment with the Local Land Charges Officer. Appointments can be made between 9.30 am and 12 noon and 2.00 pm and 4.15 pm. Monday to Friday provided that at least 24 hours notice is given and that there are adequate staffing levels. A plan of the property/land being searched against must be faxed or e-mailed to the Local Land Charges Officer as soon as possible after the appointment is made.
Appointments to gain access to other information on the statutory registers should be made with the relevant departments.
