Licence - public entertainment
The provision of regulated entertainment (plays; films; indoor sporting events; boxing or wrestling entertainment; live music; recorded music; performances of dance; anything of a similar description to live music, recorded music or performances of dance; and facilities for making music, dancing or entertainment of a similar description to making music or dancing) is a licensable activity under the Licensing Act 2003, subject to certain exceptions, and requires either a premises licence or a temporary event notice.
If you wish to apply for a premises licence or to issue a temporary event notice we can provide advice and the necessary forms and guidance are available on the website of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
