Berwick Sport and Physical Activity Alliance is launching a new sports directory and all local sport and physical activity clubs, groups and leaders are invited to send in information for a free entry.
Berwick’s Sports Development Officer Paul Jones said:
“One of the biggest problems with sport and physical activity anywhere, but particularly in a rural area like Berwick, is that people just don’t know where it can be done, who’s allowed to take part and when it happens.
“To help solve this problem, we’re putting a new Sports Directory together which will be ready in the summer 2008. The new directory is being put together by an organisation who will source local adverting to cover the costs; so it will not cost you anything to have an entry put in.
“Sport and physical activity doesn’t just mean traditional sports, it can include walking groups, family cycling groups, water sports, outdoor pursuits and fitness/ gym sessions.
“Please send in details of your club or group including e-mail and a telephone number, a brief outline of what you do and what age groups take part. We need the information by the end of January to ensure that the directory is published in time. This is a fantastic opportunity to market your club and it is free,” he said.
