The public toilets in the main car park at Seahouses and on Church Street in Bamburgh village will close temporarily next week for refurbishment.

Seahouses public toilets will be closed on Monday, 22 and Tuesday 23 September to enable the roof to be replaced which is leaking. The nearest public toilets will be in the car park at Beadnell.

The toilets on Church Street in Bamburgh village will then close on Thursday, 25 and Friday 26 September as this roof is also leaking. The nearest public toilets will be in the car park at Bamburgh Links which is just south of the castle.

Head of Public Protection Jan Anderson said:
“We apologise in advance that these two facilities must close. Unfortunately the work is essential and the toilets must be closed to the public. Due to the inclement weather the works cannot wait until the end of the season but both facilities will be open for the weekend.”
