Annual Stakeholder Event – Celebrating Success and Creating Opportunities

Release date: 20.11.07

Berwick Borough Local Strategic Partnership (BBLSP) is to hold its annual Stakeholder Event on the theme of “Celebrating Success and Creating Opportunities”, on Tuesday, 27 November.

“There have been many successes in the Borough over the past year,” said BBLSP Chair, Clive Hallam-Baker. “From the building of affordable housing in Wooler to the rapid progress of new industrial units at the Ramparts Business Park; from the achievement of Cittaslow status for Berwick and the development of the Slow Food movement within the Borough to the introduction of an award-winning Farm Safety strategy, partners from across the five thematic sectors of the Local Strategic Partnership have been successful in translating their ambitions and aspirations into real, tangible projects on the ground.

“We are also looking ahead to see how we can translate the community’s aspirations within the Community Plan into real, tangible projects which will have solid benefits for those living in or visiting the Borough.

“The Berwick Borough Local Strategic Partnership would like to invite all its stakeholders, and those who haven’t yet signed up to become stakeholders, to join us at this Stakeholder Event, to help us celebrate these achievements and to help us develop a clear list of priorities for the forthcoming year.”

The Stakeholder Event will include an exhibition highlighting some of the projects being undertaken in the Borough, and will incorporate the LSP’s Annual General Meeting. The event will take place at the Parish Centre, The Parade, Berwick-upon-Tweed, from 10.30am, with refreshments on arrival. The AGM will begin at 11am, following which there will be an opportunity to visit the exhibition and to network. Lunch, of locally sourced produce, will be provided.

The exhibition will remain open for visitors until 4pm.
