Are there enough taxi ranks in Berwick?

Do you think that there are enough taxi ranks in Berwick or has one of the existing taxi ranks moving back to Walkergate caused confusion?

Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council is looking for your views.

David Wilson Licensing Manager explains:
“As one of the taxi ranks has just moved back to Walkergate because the Workspace building is complete this is an ideal time to find out what the views of local people and visitors are on ranks in the town centre.

“Are there enough? Are they in the right place? Would you like more, smaller ones in different locations, rather or as well as two large ones?

“Please write into the Licensing Section at Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council, Wallace Green, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1ED or e-mail us with your views at taxis@berwick-upon-tweed.gov.uk by Friday, 1 August 2008,” he said.

Any views which are sent in will be of help when drawing up a Traffic Management Plan for Berwick later on in the year.
