All Plots Sold !!

Since the completion of Ramparts Business Park in
July 2006 there has been a constant high level of interest in the plots available and the last plot was sold in July 2007, within 12 months !!
Those visiting the site will be able to see progress at all levels and the first units will be completed by the end of the year.

proposed north road industrial estate extension and re-development

Gladman Developments are pushing on with their first phase of development which includes speculative office and commercial opportunities. Marrtree Limited from Bradford commenced work on the eastern end of Ramparts at the end of September delivering five quality, modern industrial nursery units of varied sizes. These developments are delivering new jobs to Berwick from companies with National reputations for development which is great news for the town and its community.

Alongside these major developers a large number of plots have been snapped up by local businesses on either a speculative basis or to expand their current operations and release their existing bases for potential further development.

All of this is good news for both the future of the site and Berwick itself as a centre for enterprise and with the great work that is being developed through the Master planning exercise for the town, not only will it result in creating hundreds of new jobs but let people know that Berwick-upon-Tweed is a quality place to live and work !!

Phase 2 Landscaping – Is progressing well through the management of landscape consultants Bureau Veritas and delivery by G&B Engineering. The design concepts are being delivered following consultation with the business community and alignment to the initial Design Brief.

The entrance feature is nearing completion and the directional Road signs are all in place to support the integration of North Road and Ramparts under the banner of Ramparts Business Park. The next phase relates to upgrading the business signage, railway embankment and further planting.

Artwork –”Red Pass” has been developed by artist Charles Quick and the installation was completed over the summer period and has a sequence of lighting profiles based upon local research and consultation.

The installation has been well received by the businesses and also the Arts Council
who are producing a booklet about the projects development and Charles Is doing a presentation about Red Pass at the Gymnasium on 18th October a 6pm – all are welcome
