Beadnell Bay Boat Launching Facility

Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council, supported by Northumberland Coast AONB, have a seasonal public boat launching facility based at the Pay and Display car park at Beadnell Bay. This provides a wide range of users access to the waters on an interesting stretch of Northumberland coast line. The site can launch divers, power boats, fisherman and jet skis.

The daily management of the launching facility is being undertaken by Richard Patterson who is developing and improving all aspects of the facility following his successful takeover of the operational aspects from summer 2007.

For ALL enquiries regarding opening dates/ times, charges and conditions, please contact Richard Patterson or view his excellent web site:

Site Office: (awaiting connection) opening hours 8am - 6pm everyday
Mobile 07889 386 842
E-mail beadnellbayboatlaunch*@*gmail.com (remove the stars - we hate spam - or just click it to launch your email client)
Web-site www.beadnellbayboatlaunch.co.uk

Watercraft on trailers are towed from the car park by the tractor across the beach. Once launched, the trailers are returned to a designated parking area until needed for the collection of the returning craft. The maximum size of craft is dictated by the ability to clear the gateposts at the entrance to the beach. Motorised access is restricted to the launch tractor and operational safety is of prime importance.

Beadnell Bay is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and attracts a wide range of visitors to the beach area. In good weather on peak summer days, the beach is exceptionally popular with families, etc.
